Founded in 2018, Inspire Girls Foundation (IGF) is a Community Based Organization operating in the Rwenzori sub region, Kasese District, working towards creating a future where every child is safe, inspired to finish their education career and free from violence. IGF builds confidence in vulnerable girls and boys living in locations where support may not be nearly as prevalent, protects them from Gender Based Violence and Violence Against Children, and enables them to visualize their potential for community social economic transformation.
IGF Focus Areas
Inspire Girls Foundation focuses on promoting and uplifting human rights and good governance in development areas that have direct impact on children, girls and women; Access to education, household income and economic empowerment initiatives; prevention of violence Against Children, Girls and Women (VAC, VAGW) and Gender Based Violence (GBV). IGF gives special attention to the underserved and remote locations including slums and rural communities of the Rwenzori region.

Our mission
Empowering girls and women with confidence and skills to discover their potential, transcend the societal limitations and transform their lives.
Target Community
IGF serves children between ages of 8-14 and adolescent/teenagers and young mothers aged 15-25 years. We encourage these girls and young boys to take charge of their lives, overcome obstacles, and discover how exciting they are to be them-selves.
Here, girls and boys learn to value their whole self, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate the challenges they face.
IGF Strategic objectives
Increase school enrolment, retention and achieve learning outcomes of children and girls.
Protect children, increase community response to any harmful forms of violence against children, teenage girls and women, and enable access to psychosocial and legal support for children and girls.
Promote equal accessibility to education and life vocational skills training opportunities.
Create an enabling environment to strengthen the competences of girls, women and youth with practical hands-on skills by promoting entrepreneurship, positive behavior and social growth.
Key other organizational Achievements:
Our impact is best felt in 6 sub counties and 1 municipality of Kasese district. We have established a network of 100 changemakers per Sub County each of whom has to reach 10 households within their location hence preventing domestic violence.

Formed and trained 50 OVC caregivers in VSLA methodology and equipping them relevant business skills

We have worked with communities in reducing risk and vulnerability to HIV and AIDS infections and trained 10 peer educators to link beneficiaries to service providers and improve health service delivery, access and accountability for Women living with HIV.
